Tax Manager

REPORTING TO: Senior Manager/Tax Director        

ROLE SUMMARY:                           

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced tax professional to join our team. You will lead and manage personal tax compliance work and provide strategic tax advice to clients.

You will also be responsible for developing staff under your supervision, identifying opportunities to grow relevant tax department fees through existing and new client work, and identifying opportunities to improve efficiencies in our approach to client work.

We are an established tax team acting for a wide spectrum of private individuals and trusts. We provide a high-quality tax compliance service and have vast experience in niche areas of personal tax providing advice to seafarers, divers, oil and gas workers and non-residents.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Your responsibilities will include:

· Working closely with the Tax Director and other Tax Managers to deliver the team strategy

· Implementing agreed department processes and procedures

· Day-to-day management of UK tax compliance work

· Successful delivery of UK personal tax compliance services

· Review and sign out of UK personal tax returns, trust accounts and trust tax returns

· Provision of UK tax advisory services for individuals, including the preparation of technical tax advice notes and reports for clients if required

· Supporting the team with training and development

· Keeping up to date with UK tax law changes and sharing knowledge with the team

· Supporting marketing and business development initiative
